It seems that Sony are going all guns blazing to get The Amazing Spiderman 2 underway, even though the first film is yet to arrive in cinemas.

Writing duo Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have been assigned to re-write the script for the second film in the latest reboot of the Spiderman franchise, and with films like Transformers : Revenge of The Fallen and Cowboys and Aliens behind them, they have their fans but they also have a lot of critics.

The original script for the Spiderman sequel was written by Zodiac writer James Vanderbilt and others, but Sony have now brought in the blockbuster duo to give it an overhaul as Vanderbilt is busy on another film. Read the full story

This summer Spider-Man returns to the big screen as Andrew Garfield takes over in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” a reboot of the franchise by director Marc Webb. Co-star Denis Leary, who plays Peter Parker’s girlfriend’s dad, offered nothing but praise for the “Social Network” actor.

“It’s up to the audience if they like him as Spider-Man. I think he’s brilliant, I think he’s great,” he said at the American Red Cross’s annual Red Tie Affair in Los Angeles. Read the full story
